Yoga in Your School
In this day and age, Teens need yoga and mindfulness skills the most. Adolescents are undergoing great growth (physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, academically, and spiritually) while being bombarded with enormous pressure from friends, family and the media. Today’s teens struggle with knowing who they are and where they belong. Mixed messages, hormonal fluctuations, neurological pruning, lack of coordination and fickle friends collide with parental, educational and personal expectations. This creates tremendous stress, destructive emotions, and damaging behaviors during these years.
Deep down, however, most teenagers long to feel connected and find meaning in their life. Their potential is incredible and their power to impact the world for good is greater than any other generation. Through yoga and mindfulness, they learn respect, to love themselves and are empowered with skills that last a lifetime.
In a heartfelt approach, we focus on self acceptance, positive body image, self esteem, gratitude, connection, stress relief, self love and compassion. In each class, we combine yoga and mindfulness, by focusing on breath work, practicing yoga, playing mindfulness games, meditation and journaling.
Through each class, teens learn to concentrate better and be more accepting of their present-moment experiences, as well as adopt an attitude of care for all human beings, including themselves.
Through Yoga, we provide tools and techniques that help teens manage stress, and learn tools to develop physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.

In a heartfelt approach, we focus on self-acceptance, positive body image, self-esteem. gratitude, connection, stress relief, self-love, and compassion. As well as build strength and confidence through yoga as we connect to the breath.
Classes are 30min flow/meditation and 15min of journaling.
